Welcome Home Baptist Church is a small Southern Baptist church located in Western North Carolina. We are a member of the Brushy Mountain Baptist Association.
Our Beliefs
We believe in the Bible as the inspired Word of God; the final authority in all matters of faith and conduct.
“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness”
2 Timothy 3:16
We believe in one and only one God. He is the Creator, Redeemer, Preserver, and Ruler of the universe. We believe that He exists eternally in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
“But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.”
1 Corinthians 8:6
We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God. He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. We believe that He lived a sinless life and that He died on the cross to make provision for the redemption of men from sin. We believe that he was buried and three days later he was resurrected. We believe that He ascended into heaven and is now exalted at the right hand of God. We believe that He will return in power and glory to judge the world and to consummate His redemptive mission.

We believe that God created man in His image. In the beginning man was sinless but chose to disobey God and thus brought sin into the human race.
“And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.”
Genesis 1:26-27
We believe that all have sinned and that salvation is the free gift of God to any who will accept it. The only way to salvation is through Jesus Christ. We believe that you must accept Jesus Christ as your Savior and repent from your sins. We believe that once you have confessed Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord then you are redeemed and nothing can take that salvation away.
